Community Relations Council

The Community Relations Council was established in 1990 to lead and support change towards reconciliation, tolerance and mutual trust. The Community Relations Council is an arms-length body of the government of Northern Ireland and a catalyst for good inter-community relations work in the region.

Equality Commission

The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland is a non-departmental public body established by the Northern Ireland Act 1998. Its powers and duties derive from a number of statutes which have been enacted over the last decades, providing protection against discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, race, religion and political opinion, sex and sexual orientation.
